Orchid grows in secluded valleys, she can radiate her aroma without other's care.That's the reason why she is so beloved by Shaoxing people, Shaoxing is the hometown of orchid, Lan Pavilion lies at the foot of Lanzhu mountain about 12.5km away from south-east of Shaoxing city.



	it is well-known in the world for it is a special delicate and graceful garden where our greatest calligraphist WangXizi enjoyed his life and left his brilliant masterpiece.

	In 1989, the calligraphy museum was established by State Tourism Department in Lan Pavilion for collecting and exhibiting best calligraphic works which points up another beautiful scenery.




	Every year when orchid in blossom, the International Calligraphy Festival would be held in Lan pavilion which attracts all the people who like calligraphy at home and abroad.


	They recited poems while drinking wine from cups floating on the win-ding stream.And his friends asked him to compose a narrative to record the event.Wang Wrote impromptu“prologue to the Orchid Pavilion collec-tion”. which has entered history with eternal glory wang has since been crowned as “the sage of Calligraphy”and the place as the Calligraphy Mecca”.
